The Rose Garden neighborhood of San Jose is known for its charming, historic homes, tree-lined streets, and peaceful atmosphere. The neighborhood gets its name from the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden, a gorgeous public garden that is home to over 4,000 rose bushes, 189 species of roses as well as a park, fountain and picnic area. 

The Rose Garden neighborhood is also bordered by Shasta Hanchett Park which is home to a variety of shops, restaurants, and other amenities along The Alameda. Even though this area is convenient location near downtown San Jose and major freeways, the area retains a quaint, suburban feel that is appealing to families and professional residents. In addition, the neighborhood is known for its strong sense of community, with numerous neighborhood events and volunteer opportunities including the Rose, White and Blue Parade, Viva Calle Bike Parade and Rose Pruning at the Historic Rose Garden.
